Board of Management Meeting 16/01/2018

Heating Problems in The School:
The school has been dealing with heating issues which came to a head just before Christmas. C&M Delaney were contacted and after numerous days spent trying to rectify the problem, a major leak was found in the system somewhere under the floor of the front building. As a result of this and in order to keep the heat in the back building, the front building has had to be shut off the system. Therefore, there will be no heating in the front building for the foreseeable future. It is a problem that will take time and considerable investment to fix. The KWETB and the Department of Education have been informed. In consideration of the health and safety of the pupils and staff, the four Infant classes are being moved to the remaining available rooms in the back building. The Board of Management would like to thank everybody, and especially the staff for their patience and cooperation over these past few weeks.

The Board of Management and school staff are in the process of reviewing procedures involving accidents on school premises during and after school times.
